Following the May announcement that Fujairah expects three passenger airlines to be operating in the eastern emirate by the end of this year, the General Civil Aviation Authority has recently granted a licence to Fujairah International Airport (FIA) after it met all necessary safety and security requirements.The inspection and licensing programme is designed to raise operational, security and safety standards.
