Fujairah Municipality Building Section Undergoes Evaluation

Regular Scrutiny

Since the beginning of the year the Fujairah Municipality has instituted an integrated system of evaluation for all its departments and recently it was the turn of the Buildings Section to undergo assessment and scrutiny.

This was the first thorough assessment of the department.

The evaluation involved a different form of assessment for employees depending on whether they were engineers, technicians or administrators.

The assessment involved getting external input and feedback from consultants and engineers from various companies with whom the Municipality has been dealing.

Purpose

The purpose of the regular evaluation is:

+ To raise the overall performance of the employees and the team collectively.

+ To maintain health standards.

+ To ensure environmental safety.

+ To ensure compliance with current building regulations.

+ To keep pace with latest developments in the building industry.

Recognition

The culmination of this assessment took place in the Municipality Conference Hall convened by the Deputy Director, Abdulla Mohamed Alhantoubi.

The ceremony involved giving feedback from the overall assessment, honoring the entire team and the presentation of awards by Mr. Alhantoubi on behalf of the leadership of the Municipality.

Significance

Enhancing the performance of the building sector of the Municipality is of great importance as, in the next few years, there looks to be a great development of Fujairah city and the various towns and cities in the emirate of Al Fujairah.
